I have been thinking about standards lately. Is there really objective standard? The one that is ultimate, inexorable - as your morning routine. Or is it always subjective, even though it might be "perceived" by many as such.
And then I thought, do I have a standard for the models I'm choosing? Can they all be gathered together under the common numerator? And if this is the case, is it good for photography, for development of personal style? Or is there should always be a room for experimentation and exploration? I think these question will always hang there by themselves awfully resembling misfits.
Gen is not a typical model, but she has something special to her: in her eyes, her gestures and body language. I don't usually retouch my pictures a lot - I think the real beauty is in real skin, and body imperfections, no matter how perfect the model's body might be. I didn't do any body editing on these images as well. I think Gen is beyond gorgeous without any retouching.
