These pictures were born out of desire to shake up my style a little bit. Get myself out of the comfort zone, and try to shoot something darker. My images has always been soft, and tender. They all fall into a category of sweet, female portraits. At one point I got too comfortable with that style, which can be deadly for any progress. So I decided to go out and shoot. As they say, the best way to learn anything is to experiment.
So I texted Kelleth, and asked if she'd be up for the task. The moment I met her, I knew it's going to be a killer! Just look at her pale, soft skin and those dark, deep eyes! Shooting something darker was easy, as she was comfortable with those kind of poses, and body expressions. What I did differently this time was I stopped giving directions. You see when I shoot my models I like directing them to achieve that dreamy, soft look. However, this time I just let it be. And I am freaking loving it! I feel like I succeeded in my attempt to push myself and go a little weirder. Weird is good, folks. Let's get weird.
This is Part I of these series. Stay tuned for Part II :)
